Hiking to Charco Dos Brazos, Peñuelas

Delve into one of the most spectacular ancient forests you have ever seen in the beautiful town of Peñuelas. This tour promises to connect you with Nature through all your senses. We will explore the unique riverside pools like Lareña until we reach its impressive waterfalls of more than 100 feet high. From there you will appreciate an unparalleled panoramic view of the entire natural and healing environment.

• Difficulty level: Route rated at a moderate level (2) and a few areas of difficult level (3).
• Meeting point:
  Church's Chicken at Plaza Peñuelas. We leave for Dos brazos at 8:00 am sharp, so we recommend arriving early or on time.

Required equipment:

• car in good condition that can climb steep and narrow roads for more than 30 minutes (if not, they must be willing to do carpooling)
• Closed shoes/preferably hiking boots and water shoes in a backpack
• pants and long shirt (light colors)
• swimsuit
• If you bring your lunch you must bring your reusable utensils (plate, glass, spoon)
• drinking water (2 liters)
• hydrating drink like coconut water
• healthy snacks and lunch
• change of clothes
• layer
• sunscreen
• walking stick or hiking sticks
• safety helmet
• hat or cap
• eco friendly insect repellent
• If you are allergic to any insect bite, please bring your epipen.
• inform if you suffer from asthma, hypertension or any heart condition.

*A safety helmet will be provided if you do not have one.

Event Difficulty:

Level 1: Easy / we recommend it for people of all ages.

Level 2: Regular/includes moderate walking, so we recommend parental discretion and supervision over their children's participation.

Level 3: Difficult / we recommend it only for people accustomed to long, difficult walks on uneven terrain. We do not recommend the participation of children.

Level 4: Extreme / we recommend it only for people in excellent physical condition who can handle the challenges of the nature of the place. Includes long walks under difficult environmental conditions. We check your physical condition, your equipment and your clothing before starting.
